(1) |
The Cadets are prepared for the
Secondary School Certificate (Matriculation) and Intermediate examinations
conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Mirpur AJ & K. |
(2) |
|
(3) |
The promotion from the School to
the College classes is not automatic. Admissions to the 1st year class depends
upon the boy's result in the Matriculation Examination and his conduct. The
decision whether a boy is fit for admission to the 1st year or take up the
Pre-engineering or Pre-medical course in the 1st year class rests entirely with
the College. |
(4) |
For the internal assessment of
the cadets, term tests are conducted in May and September. The annual promotion
exams are held in December during the academic year.
|
(5) |
The Cadets are generally
examined from the course covered during the term, while in the annual promotion
test they are tested from the whole course covered during the academic year. The
cadets failing in the annual promotion test are detained in the same class.
Those Cadets who fail in the same class for the second time shall be withdrawn
from the college on academic ground. |

Progress Report |
|
The pace of student progress is
closely watched and frequent interaction with the parents is maintained
throughout the year. However, results of the terminal examinations are formally
communicated to the parents. Besides a comprehensive report depicting, the
students educational results personality traits and co-curricular activities are
forwarded to the parents at the end of the academic year. |
|
Awards |
|
On successful completion of the
prescribed course of studies, students are promoted to the next class at the end
of the academic year. The students attaining top positions are awarded with
prizes and merit certificates.
|
|
Academic standards |
|
In the true spirit of the term
system, cadets are required to maintain minimum grade average throughout the
programme. Cadets must maintain a score of 60% in term exams. |
|
Attendance |
|
Cadets are required to be
regular and punctual. A cadet less than 90% attendance in class lectures and
laboratory work in a class, for what ever reasons, shall not be allowed to take
the final examination for that class. The student will have to repeat the class. |
